Concord Ca. – April 12, 2019 – Certified Solar, Heating and Air Conditioning is embarking on a charity drive to help raise support for individuals living with Autism. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication.
It is estimated that about 1 percent of the world’s population has an autism spectrum disorder. April is the World Autism Month, and Certified Solar, Heating and Air Conditioning team are working to generate community support and donations that will be used to create a multi-sensory environment known as ‘Special Haven’.
SpecialHaven is a Non-Profit Corporation which provides a multi-sensory environment for the benefit and development of children and adults with Special Needs in the local community of Antioch and the surrounding towns. Multi-Sensory environments have shown to help individuals with Autism and other Special Needs. SpecialHaven assists in maximizing a person’s potential to focus and then initiate and react in a meaningful, productive way to situations, things, and people in their environment.
Certified, Solar Heating & Air Conditioning will be donating $10 of every Tune-Up and Service call run in April to Special Haven. The company feels to feel it’s their civic duty to stay present in the community and to help bring awareness to the cause.
Committed to raising as much money as possible for the success of Special Haven, Certified Solar, Heating and Air Conditioning is asking for your help. Your financial donations will aid in the success and continued build-out of the SpecialHaven Multi-Sensory environment for those with Autism and other Special Needs. The Special Haven environment provides a tactile experience through sound, aroma, touch and visual effects in many combinations and variations. Your donations will also assist in the costs associated with the training classes provided to parents, caregivers, or any other family to make the most out of the Special Haven experience.
Donations will be accepted at the company’s Headquarters located at 5040 Commercial Circle, Suite C Concord, CA 94520. All those who want to be part of the success of Special haven in the region are urged to visit the address and make their donations. The company will be accepting donations from April 1st – 30th with walk-in drop off from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and from Mon.to Fri. Please help make this World Autism month the best it can be.
