NEW ZEALAND VISA APPLICATION
We are excited to welcome visitors to New Zealand. To enter New Zealand, you must have a valid passport and the required visa. If you intend to visit New Zealand for a short period of time, you must first apply for a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). In July 2019, the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) implemented visa-free travel. It allows eligible visitors to visit New Zealand for pleasure, business, or transit purposes without the need to apply for a visa at an embassy. To travel to New Zealand, visa-exempt nationals, cruise ship passengers of all nationalities, and transit passengers must now get the eTA NZ. The New Zealand eTA is valid for two years and allows multiple visits for short periods of time. To receive an authorized New Zealand eTA by email, you must also pay a processing cost known as the International Visitor Tourism and Conservation cost (IVL). Those planning to stay in New Zealand for an extended period of time, work, or study should contact the nearest New Zealand embassy or consulate for more information. Applicants must include personal and passport information on the New Zealand eTA application form. You will also be asked about the applicant’s criminal history and whether they are seeking medical treatment in New Zealand.
The list of New Zealand visa application procedures is as follows:
NEW ZEALAND ETA FOR CRUISE
Passengers from foreign cruise ships arriving in New Zealand do not require a visa. Passengers must provide the NZeTA confirmation letter, either in physical or digital form, at the time of check-in for the journey. Visitors from any nation can apply for a NZeTA instead of a visa when arriving in New Zealand on a cruise ship. This policy facilitates cruise passengers’ visits to New Zealand. Both the NZeTA application and the cruise ship journey to New Zealand require the same passport. Applying online for an Electronic Travel Authorization for New Zealand is quick and simple. Using their smartphone, laptop, or other electronic device, visitors can apply for a New Zealand cruise eTA. The application process is 100% online. Completing the NZeTA cruise application only takes a few minutes.
