Every 90 days or so, the private music instructor tests the student’s knowledge. A color wristband is awarded if they pass, which denotes the level they passed. The student also receives a Certificate of Achievement, and a personalized trophy is awarded at certain levels. Guilderland Music Academy is the only music studio in the greater Albany area that allows students to earn special-color wristband bracelets, certificates, and trophies for passing musical tests with the Musical Ladder System®. Guilderland Music Academy is one of the fastest-growing music academies in the nation. Teachers provide instruction in Guitar, Piano, Percussion, Voice, Strings, Woodwinds, and Brass and lifelong lessons that students can take into the real world.
