Maini is back with a bang! Barnes & Noble Press’s “The Manuscripts of Inheritance: The Fundamentals,” authored by Abhineet Maini and Jiya Patel of Troy High School has now officially made history, as the authors become the youngest in American History to have published a formal book concerning the subject of Human Genetics.
Abhineet Maini is a 17-year-old author and researcher infamous for his research in neuroscience, with his record-breaking publications, “The Neurogenesis Letters.” Maini has written some of the most influential pieces of literature in the life sciences, as he recently diversified his interests by taking on the subject of Genetics. He was partnered by Jiya Patel, a scholar and author from Troy High School, California.
The book had been long anticipated by the the scientific community as Maini’s introductory piece of his 4 book series: The Manuscripts of Inheritance. The expectations of this book were already high, given the celebrated reputation of Maini in academia, but Maini has gone beyond the set expectations already. As A.S. Byatt, an English critic, puts it:
“I had not known of Maini prior to reading his work on Genetics. Though it can be seen in multiple instances that it wasn’t written in the most sophisticated manner, I applaud Maini for his efforts in the coming together of this book. It has been stitched together to engage the reader throughout. The future of authors looks promising, and Maini and Patel have bright futures in the sciences”
The book has been put forward for nomination for multiple prizes, including those of the Society for Genetics. The level of rigor that has been put into this book represents the passion that the young authors have for the life sciences. All eyes are now on Maini as he is expected to release the second part of his book series very soon.
