Groundbreakers: Game of Ages is suitable for players aged 10 and above and offers a gameplay duration of 20-60 minutes, accommodating 2-5 players. The game’s innovative design has earned it an Innovative Game Design Award by the German “Boardgame Academy”, and it prioritizes laughter-inducing gameplay over historical accuracy.
In Groundbreakers, players take on the roles of one of five unique Groundbreakers, each with a special ability that influences their play style. The game features three types of playing cards: Collectible Cards, Effect Cards, and Reaction Cards. As players progress through different ages, including the Stone Age, Middle Age, and Modern Age, new cards are unlocked, changing the abilities of Groundbreakers and adding depth to the gameplay.
The game ends when a player exhausts their hand of cards, and the player with the fewest minus points wins, creating a competitive yet entertaining experience.

This special edition includes five additional Groundbreaker cards with permanent effects that provide unique bonuses for specific ages.
