On the afternoon of November 10th, the opening ceremony of the 13th Anhui International Culture and Tourism Festival, hosted by the People’s Government of Anhui Province and organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Municipal Government of Huangshan, was held in the city of Huangshan. This festival includes three major segments: art exhibitions and performances, tourism promotion explorations, and cultural and tourism benefits for the public. The event features a collaborative effort across 16 cities in the province, organizing 28 key activities.

The opening ceremony seamlessly integrated artistic performances with tourism promotion. It featured performances by outstanding Anhui artists and cultural groups, who used their exquisite artistic expressions to showcase the beauty of Anhui’s landscapes and culture. With millennia-old Xuan paper, gray bricks and black tiles, the gentle melodies of Huangmei Opera, the melodious sounds of Hui Opera, and the resonant suona horn, the event presented a grand musical chapter reflecting the charm of Anhui, offering a visual and auditory feast to guests from all over. The ceremony provided an immersive promotion of Anhui’s spectacular landscapes and cultural heritage, with a special focus on the world-class leisure and holiday destination of Huangshan, painting a poetic picture of the region’s misty rivers and southern charm.

Representatives from the embassies and consulates of countries such as South Korea, Cuba, Bulgaria, Fiji, the United States, Tunisia, and Singapore in China, delegates from the World Federation of Tourist Cities, representatives of some international sister cities, as well as travel agents, investors, business associations, and academic experts from 33 countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, participated in the event, totaling about 500 attendees.
